Ashley this is a place of support. And it is moderated. I’m sorry you are having issues with assumptions on your weight. My son had a feeding tube at 13. We do very high calories meals, isolate protein mixes and things like ensure or pediasure.

Have you talked to your doctor about things like TPN?

TPN=Total parenteral nutrition.  TPN does not involve the gastro tract and helps a patient who cannot receive fluids or nutrition. It must be very carefully considered weighing pros to cons. Your doctor might first consider products such as mentioned by Wynnak and move on the an NG tube for feeds if needed.

There are calorie products such as Scandical that can be added to drinks of food without changing the taste of consistency.  I think Scandical has 35 calories per teaspoon.

Would your doctor refer you to an approved dietician/nutritionist?  Some of the CVS medications will increase your appetite but of course you don't want to keep vomiting and having diarrhea.

It is also possible that you might be helped by digestive enzymes.  Have all your tests been done to rule out another condition such as Crohns or another IBD?

If you ever get a negative response through this message board of private messaging, please let us know.  As wynnak states, this is a place to be supported.
