Stress of any kind, happy, sad, anxious, excitement, is a possible trigger.  So are most all parts of living-- barometric changes, allergies, sleep pattern changes are a few.

For CVS to be diagnosed other medical conditions with similar symptoms will be ruled out.

Stress can play a factor. Like Ginny mentioned, it an come in many forms. If this is the only time you experience your attacks, it may be more anxiety based. Panic attack kind of thing. The only way to find out is to go through testing, like Ginny mentioned to rule out other conditions.

What can you do for positive/happy excitement stress?

Has anyone here gotten married? What steps did you take to avoid a cycle on your wedding day?

Yes, we have had people with CVS who have gotten married.  Hopefully the wedding goes smoothly but a possible cycle is a worry for them.

Maybe using visualization to enact the occasion over and over in your mind will help some of the high excitement.  A therapist might be able to help with this.  Your doctor might agree to prescribe a low dose anti anxiety medication to help take off the edge.

I hope a search through the archives offers some better suggestions.  For kids who have excitement triggers, parents will often not tell them about a major fun event until the last minute.  This is not possible with a wedding.  It might help to know that almost everyone getting married is nervous, excited, anxious, and probably being bombarded by every emotion there is.

Please let us know how you move forward with this concern.

Anything can start my CVS off
It could be a happy event, sad , you name it anything can trigger my CVS .
I've just got out of hospital again and that stresses me out , believes or not this time in hospital I was put on a air bed , not good when your being sick , it made me feel worse , so I had to ask for it to be changed. It felt like I was on a boat .
Take care
