My caregiver found this article about pyrrolo-quinoline quinone or PQQ.

http://www.lifeextension.com/Magazine/2011/11/Reverse-Brain-Cell-Death-by-Growing-New-Mitochondria/Page-01

It came up in a search function because my cognitive abilities have been suffering badly.  I saw "mitochondria" all over the article and wanted to share it with you all and see if anyone had heard of it or tried it before.

I just read further on Examine.com

Lots of promise and Examine has a chart with results of possible areas affected by this supplement. Interesting in that some of the benefit is similar to Vitamin B.

I sent an inquiry for CVSA Science Committee, hopefully the doctors will be able to review.

Thank you for bringing this up.

I have used it.  Hard to say if the price justifies the effect.  I like ubiquinol form of CoQ10 better -- idebenone too.  Have not yet tried the Mito-Q though.  I wanted to give a higher dose of idebenone a try for a longer period first.

Thanks for the input Sunshines.  I'll also be interested in hearing what the Science Committee has to say about it too.

Hi Ginny,

Is there any more information via the Science Committee about this PQQ.  If so, where could I find that?

Thanks.

As far as I know, there has been no research into this by the science committee.  You can confirm this through the CVSA office.  A call to Epic4health might be helpful.
