Thank you for adding me,
Im a mother of a 14 years old CVSer..he was Dx a year ago..after 2 years of struggling.
He recently added keppra to his preventive plan and its doing great.
He doesn't have a history of seizure, it was after an unfortunate accident and a concussion that he took this med and stopped the daily nausea.
Im wondering if someone else (more recently) is taking this med , wanted to check for side effects for long term users.

Scully here, I'm on Keppra right now and so far it has slowed down my attacks but I still get them, but I take my Keppra at night and it calms everything down for me and I can sleep when I'm NOT getting massive hot flashes due to menopause caused by my surgery on Dec 10th 2014. but so far so good on the Keppra my family doc put me on it and said IF I need to take 2 of them I can but the once at night works for me. I think my stomach has the seizures that is why it works for me. but next month on the 27th I'll be at the U of Michigan hospital seeing a new GI doc who also knows about the CVS. plus since last Aug I've lost 50+ pounds total due to the attacks. The only side effect I have with my Keppra is I have more PMS then before but I think that is due to menopause and not the Keppra. I've had CVS my whole life and just a few years ago we put a name to why I'm always kissing the toilet. I'll have Mulder post updates when I'm really sick for you guys under my account. *hugs*

I take the Keppra at night and it really helps to control the attacks I only take at night on the lowest dose of it plus with the Maxalt the Zofran the Norflex and the pain medication I'm on my attacks have really slowed down and almost stopped but I still get the attacks but not to the point of going to the hospital...hope this helps you

I was on Tylenol #3 with Codeine in it but my Old Family doctor took me off of it cause he was a Jerk so Now I'm on the RX of Motrin and it does help but also I Take the Norflex with it and the Zofran plus my new doctor put me on MaxAlt which last night I had to take with the rest of my CVS recovery meds so I didn't end up in the hospital last night. I wasn't going to go anyhow to the hospital to have them pretty much reset my system when I can pretty much do it here at home.. So now I'm on a small bed rest due to last night's CVS attack that came out of nowhere which sucks.
