Hi my name is Ashley and I was diagnosed with cvs at the age of 6. It was a struggle for me and my family to find out what I had and if I was ok.when everyone found out that I had cvs my mom broke down in tears, but little did she know that I wasn't alone and never will be. I signed up here to share my story and to help all of you through your journeys too! I still have it and it hasn't gotten any better but I know how to handle it pretty well now. I take pills to boost my energy and prevent episodes from happening and it has been working! I'm glad to meet all of you and would like to get to know you. If anyone would like to talk to me I'm open to anyone at anytime. Thank you all for having me

Hi Ashley, welcome to the message board.

You sound remarkably mature for a 12 year old.  My granddaughter is 12, almost 13.  I am trying to picture her as articulate as you are or even offering help to others.  I am so happy you are here to offer support and I hope we can offer you support as well.

Thank you for reaching out to others.

Hi Ashley, please can you tell me what your symptoms were and what caused your attacks,I think my 12 year old daughter is suffering from cvs but has not been diagnosed as such with it yet,she gets sick if she stays up too late,on birthdays and at Christmas, going on holiday or even just staying somewhere different ,looking forward to your reply x

We are on a regimented sleep schedule. Definitely helps us control things better. Sets off his migraines which can set off his CVS.
