Thank you for this support site. It has been a four year mystery to my sons condition & a few doctors visits & tests with no real answers. Like most of you pure determination to seek out help & try suggestions has lead me here. The 2 supplements recommended by others (CQ-10 & L-Carnitine) have, for the first time, ceased his symptoms. My son has definite triggers that will start the vomitting episode and we see a strong pattern. He has only taken the supplements for 2 weeks and can't believe it himself. We have tried so many things throughout the years from over the counter nausea suppressants, ginger root, fasting before we predict the trigger is coming, chamomile tea, mint, anything and everything that could prevent cramps & vomitting. The last Dr prescribed strong anti-depressants which he refused to try. So when I gave him this set of supplements I found on this support website he did not have hope. I have tried this combo of supplements now for a couple weeks with him. His symptoms have ceased during a time they have usually peaked. He texted me that he finally feels like a normal kid for once. The fear of the episodes were almost becoming as daunting as the episodes themselves. It feels like a small battle has been won; however not sure how it will will change as he grows older, etc. But extremely thankful for this support site and the relief it's provided[smile]

Thank you so much for letting us know about your success.  I hope you will email your news to Dr. Boles, his contact information is on the CVSA web site.

Your success with the supplements will be of interest to Dr. Boles, I hope he sees your email.

Dr. Boles has been suggesting adding in Vitamin B after the coQ10 is established -- I am not suggesting that you change what is working and he might not suggest this either.  I would email and ask him, hope the email reaches him and also consult your own doctor.

Good luck, I am thrilled for you and your son!

Thank you so much for replying. It was definitely a lonely path up until now. I will definitely email my sons experience, I wouldn't have thought of that. I'm very thankful for all the information provided here & the blog.

I'm trying to find a CoQ10/ubiquinol gummy for my daughter that doesn't have fillers and other additives.  What brand are you using for your son?  My daughter is 6, and she hasn't learned to take pills yet.

Also, are you using the liquid version of L-cartinine?  What brand are you using for that?

Thank you!
