I know when she is there and pretty sure what she is going to do to me! but pretty sure this will be the last time, because I am moveing and she won't be able to find me. maybe we should all move! we must find a way to have some fun with this. If any of you have any fun ideas such as fun in the ER! Fun with needles ETC, please chime in! like, how many times did they stick you last time? I gat a port and it makes it so much more fun, just one poke! and then the ER people treat you  like "well we all know the way" so come on lets have some CVS fun! could be a he, but hey, pick your own gender. I wish you well, Steve

Steve, Laughter is the only way we deal with this. Laughter is after all the best medicine! I could take it one step further and ask for the funny names that you have for throw up. My son is upset that for the CVSA Run for the Bucket 5k, I named our team the "Vomit Comets"  Which is what we call throw up.. or one of them.. He doesn't think that everyone will appreciate my humor [smile] Come on... It's a 5k.. Comets.. for a Fundraiser for CVS.. Vomit.. Vomit Comets.. Hello.. It's FUNNY!!

I could sit here and go through the funny things we have done or called vomit.. you get so tired of dealing with it.. you have to make it fun! FYI, movie popcorn buckets make great puke buckets.. or camouflage for it[smile]

We have had other threads addressing CVS and its funnier aspects.  Ever notice how you can sit at dinner in a restaurant and talk vomit?  You are talking about it like you discuss the weather.  Meanwhile everyone around you is getting green.

I think moving away from the CVS monster is a great idea.  Let me know how that goes.  [smile]

I had to tell some people around me that if I ever get to gross for them to tell me.. We are desensitized. My son has sat at the dinner table with us during an episode ( for family time) puking.. and we stop eating.. usually with forks poised mid bite.. ask him if he is okay.. and keep eating [smile] I forget that talking about vomit can make other people queasy.

I think it is kind of cool that she is a female.  From now and forever, in my mind she is a female! [smile]

It's like my truck.. my truck is a guy, Lari.My husbands car is a girl, Sally. It's relative to the person. My husband does not like that my truck is a guy.. it the truck I had before Lari was a girl and she was always broken down.. plus Lari is just more masculine looking anyway.. 😊 I have no issues with you assigning gender.. or naming your puke monster. Heck that could bring us full circle to funny names we call throw up 🤢

So the monster came in the door yesterday, I went to the ER here cottage hospital in solvang ca. I had all the paper work and the doc was great, one shot of daludid and some compuzine and some etc's and gone, this was the first time an ER doc took the time to look at the paper work and just gave me the the drugs. get your papers in order and be ready! it really can help, BUT not always, just be as ready as you can because it is coming and we all know it. having this port has really helped, just one stick and done, but it does have it's draw backs, monthly flushings etc. anyways the monster is gone for now, see her next time. be well guys, Steve

Glad you had a better experience. I wonder if it was the combo or the timing that helped? Either way I'm glad it's gone! Rest up.
