Since I have seen people now being prescribed capsaicin Cream.. and saw this article yesterday, http://www.sacbee.com/news/state/california/california-weed/article156399114.html. I was appalled that the new diagnosis technique for CHS is to ask if hot bathes are soothing.. I have already sent my information to the writer of the article and will go through the rest of the people in the article as well. I'm hoping that people will send a note as well about the use of that as a reason to "nail" the diagnosis.

Thank you for getting in touch with the author to clarify the hot baths.  I did find the capasaicn rubbing interesting.  I wonder if this could help when motility slows down?

My CVS child had a run with RSV (a nerve pain disorder) and we tried this cream to help ease her pain.  She hot bathed during a flare-up.

I know migraine patients can find some relief in a hot bath and will sometimes use an ice pack on the head.  It all makes sense with vasodilation or constriction.  There must be dozens of medical problems helped by bathing.  Hopefully the medical establishment has some kind of knowledge of people other than those smoking marijuana who get help from bathing.

Let us know the response you get.  You have had success before, I am sure you will have it again.

I too wonder if someone has tried the cream for the abdominal pain.. People are using topical zofran with okay results.

But I had fun contacting and talking with people due to this article. I talked with the local doctor as well as her department head. I have offered to go in and talk with staff with information, booklets, and lots of personal experience. That spreading this kind of thing with out noting other conditions that could have the SAME guidelines that they are suggesting be used to diagnose, was wrong. That it is harming people that have CVS and them getting even adequate care.

It was said the article was to spread awareness and the need for research into CHS. I expressed how the comments and information are hurting others with similar conditions and situations that need care. Care overall. That people are being handed this cream and told to "Stop smoking weed" as they are discharged even when the drug test comes back clean. So what ever I can do to perpetuate that type of thing from happening.. let's do that. [smile]

But you know me.. Bulldog. If I don't hear back from the Let's work together email.. I will show up with my booklets[smile] I have a backup plan.
