Hello, any recommendations in the DFW area? Quite a few GI offices that I have called don't seem to know what I'm talking about and I'd like a second opinion because I don't think my current doctor is doing all he can for me.

Please contact the CVSA office at CVSAonline.org
The CVSA Family Conference starts today so I am not sure how quickly the office will be able to respond to you. You might try the term Abdominal Migraine with the gastro docs. Some do fine getting treated by their primary care MDs and others are being seen by neurologists. Any good provider who is understanding, and willing to learn should be a good resource for you. Your doctor might also consult with a CVSA Medical Advisor. If possible, traveling for a consult with a CVSA Medical Advisor can be very helpful. The CVSA doctor can set up testing and a treatment program and then keep in contact with your primary care MD. Many major medical centers also have remote consults. __________________ ginny CVSA Moderator

I would also suggest checking on the doctors referral tab.
Nuerogastroenterologists would also be a suggestion that I would look into. But, I do agree with Ginny, with Conference this weekend, it maybe a bit before you get a response. __________________ Blynda Message Board Moderator Monthly Support Call Moderator
