So my buddy is going into his 3rd televised MMA fight in the next few weeks and I plan on buying some space on his Jersey for CVS Awareness.  Nic's a great kid with a huge heart, a ton of character, just one of those amazing souls.

Any suggestions highly encouraged.  Nic is excited to support our cause so it would be really cool if we can figure out a way for him to do it.

Thanks for any input.

What a great thing to do!  I think we have some kind of emblems for sale.  Blynda is not available today but maybe ask Debbie at CVSA to help?  I am unfortunately not up to date with the CVSA office.

Mannion,

The office said that they hadn’t gotten a message from you. Did you reach out!

Mannion,

I email them at night all the time. AN email is still sitting there in the morning. Ask GInny, I used to only post in the middle of the night. The CVSA office gets email from me all times of the day and night.

I am proud to announce CVSA as the newest sponsor of MMA fighter Nic Ciabottoni who fights on MATV and eventually it gets posted on King of the Cage on FB.  I checked yesterday nothing was up yet from his last fights (it takes a few weeks).

Anyway next fight is on Saturday the May 26th and if it will be live streamed I will keep you all updated.

If I get a shirt or a shirt photo with the CVSA logo on it I will let you all know.  Maybe for next fight, if there is any interest, I can get the largest logo for CVSA and have him print extra shirts, which we can donate and sell on CVSA, all profits go towards research.  If you have interest in something like that I will run it by the Board and Nic.

I will be wearing mine to the ER to remember to be strong.

Nic also thanks you all for the support and interest.  He can only fight when sponsors like us get him there.
To help bring the awareness we need,  Nic will also be posting a bit about CVS (I will be sending over something myself that explains it so it will be proper awareness).

So let me know if you would purchase a shirt from this site, with proceeds going to CVS awareness and I will try and get CVS some from the next fight.

That is the full story so far on Nic Ciabottoni fighting for CVS warriors.

Just keep swimming,

Mannion

Great update Mannion!  Good luck to your friend Nic.

CVSA is wholly dependent on donations. You and your friend running a fund raiser for CVS research is a blessing.

If you have not already, please let the CVSA office know about this fund project.  Blynda is now the President of CVSA and she checks the message board several times each day but it is probably a good idea to send an email to the office, CVSA@CVSAonline.org

Thank you again!

Thanks, Mannion!

He has been in contact with the office.. But, yes Mannion if your going to sell shirts, or get shirts for him to sign, coordinate with the office. They will have a merchandise table at the upcoming conference.

Good luck to Nic, and thank you for helping Raise awareness for CVS!

So I did not get shirts any extra shirts this time around for CVSA.  CVSA is a sponsor of Nic's now.  I will get one because he is my buddy, I plan on continuing to support Nic and just messaged him about buying extra shirts for CVSA to sell for charity (and possibly having his friends who ask for shirts that run come to CVSA to support us a bit, we will see if it is not too much to ask).  He will almost certainly get shirts with his next sponsors for his next fight (date unknown) it just might be a logistical problem with who he fights for or having extras printed (although it may bring down the price buying more...).  We can only ask.

Nic's first fight will be on MAVTV direct tv Station 214 from time to time (starting today, Event titled Future Legends 40 pt 2

He also won his second fight, but his third was on the 26th and in Nic's words,

"Got my 3rd win tonight. 3-0. My hardest fight yet. Love my team, coaches, sponsors, and everyone who has supported me! Looking forward to getting back to training for the next one!"

Yup, he won again.  2rd TKO "The Referee has seen enough, steps in, calls a stop to this bout..." The Announcer.

I'll keep you all updated.

Just keep swimming.

Mannion,

So great that you have the opportunity to do this.

Any pictures that have the CVSA logo on it? Maybe we can reach out to the office about shirts and you plans moving forward.Maybe people that follow MMA would be interested in knowing about this via our social media. May help with Shirts and stuff.. I would coordinate with the office and see how we can support each other.

Once I get my shirt in the mail I will post pictures of the CVSA logo.  I have also gotten his okay to send CVSA a bunch of shirts to sell for fundraising (the logo should be bigger since I am going to get the highest level sponsorship next time he prints shirts).

Nic also planned on writing a message to his friends and followers on FB and I am pleased to say today not only did he post,

"Big shout out to one of my sponsors, the amazingly supportive, but suffering people at CVSAonline.org ..
CVS (Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome) is a mitochondrial related illness that makes sufferers vomit dozens of times an hour in a horrible confused state, and in some cases (like that of my friend Brad Foster) there is severe pain involved. The CVS sufferer will feel better for a time, but always knows the next attack is a day, a week, hopefully as long as a month away, but that it is coming. If you work in the healthcare field and get a chance, please swing on by CVSAonline.org and look into CVS and how it takes over lives, every CVS patient you have will appreciate it."

..but he also posted a FB fundraiser for CVSA on his FB page (as of now it has raiser $30). Which was extremely nice of him to do for us.

I have been sick at least once a week so Thank you all for being patient with the replies.

Just Keep Swimming,

Mannion

MannionUSMC, so sorry you have been sick.  What a wonderful post by your friend Nic.   He is a good writer and captured describing a complicated condition in a nutshell.

Be well

This is the first shirt made for CVSA's hand in Nic's sponsorships.  I may pay the highest price for sponsership when I work on getting CVSA a box of shirts to sell.  Nic said he would be happy to make us extra shirts to send along to CVSA.  His FB CVSA charity had also made $130 for CVS research for us last I checked.

Still sick every few days.  At least I am getting treated 80% of the time.  Anyway, that's the update.  Get back to you all soonish,

Just keep swimming. 101158.jpg
